I am inspired by my love of texture and color found in the environment all around me…In fact, living in the desert southwest affords me all kinds of motivation to create many of the unique and one-of-a-kind pieces that I produce in my studio in the foothills of the beautiful Sandia Mountains. Some of the organics I use are things I collect when hiking near my home…such as tree bark, twigs…and other treasures from nature.
I was fortunate to have studied metal crafting under several well-known New Mexico artists…who mastered the art of lost wax casting and sculpting… and who encouraged me to hone and develop my own style throughout the years. As a result, I feel as though my work is truly a reflection of myself as everything I produce is -from start to finish- happens right here in my New Mexico studio.
